Design
At Step Three Construction, we handle all technical design in-house, ensuring every project is structurally sound, buildable, and seamlessly executed on-site. This approach eliminates the common issues that arise when using third-party designers and architects.
Our Design Technician, Jack Boakes, has worked across all RIBA stages, from concept through to completion. Trained under his father at award-winning practice Andrew Boakes Associates, he specializes in technical architectural design, ensuring that drawings are precise, practical, and fully optimized for construction. As an Associate Member of CIAT, Jack plays a key role in bridging design and construction for flawless project execution.
Why In-House Technical Design Matters
Managing technical drawings in-house allows us to maintain complete control over the design and build process.
Seamless Execution – Our designs are created with construction in mind, eliminating conflicts between design intent and practical buildability.
Fewer Delays & Cost Overruns – Inaccurate third-party drawings often lead to expensive redesigns, miscalculations, and site delays. Our approach ensures precision from the outset.
Better Coordination – Working with our own Design Technician allows for direct communication between design and construction teams, reducing errors and ensuring a smooth workflow.
Flexibility & Adaptability – If challenges arise during the build, we can adjust plans quickly, avoiding the long lead times of external consultants.
Innovative Solutions – Our in-house expertise means we can integrate smart home automation, energy-efficient technology, and bespoke structural elements from the start.
By managing both technical design and construction, Step Three Construction ensures that every project is delivered to the highest standard, with precision, efficiency, and complete alignment between vision and reality.
